Mercedes the Dog needs a home
Mercedes is a 6-7 year old spayed female German Shepherd Dog. She was originally adopted from a shelter in 2014. She needs to find a new home because of lifestyle change and not because of behavioral issues She is sweet, gentle , loving dog , loyal family member. She is great with people. She has been exposed to children of all ages. She does not have a bite history. She loves playing tug of war with a knotted rope. She will chase flies and bees . She loves shaking old towels around. She still is active like a puppy or younger dog. She knows what a crate is but was not kept in one. Her downfalls are she cannot be around other animals and has separation anxiety if left for more than 5 hours. She can walk side by side with another dog without reactivity however she can't walk face to face toward another dog. In such circumstances she will growl, lunge and air snap at them. She will soil in the house (on a pee pad) if left alone for more than 5 hours. Sometimes when she is left alone for too long she will take all the tissues out of box. Except for her rope, she does not chew or dig or scratch in the house. She has 3 times gone right thru the patio screen door to go after a cat or squirrel. All of Mercedes' shots are up to date.
